Imagine an August evening when beautiful piano notes fill The Mariner, a paintbrush rests in your hand, and every color you add helps create something lasting for the community.

Riverside Gypsy invites you to Paint, Piano & Love Locks, an uplifting painting class, live-music experience, and community fundraiser benefiting the Marine City Love Locks Freighter.

This is more than a painting class. It is an opportunity to slow down, create something meaningful, connect with neighbors and new friends, and become part of a beautiful vision for Marine City.

Create with Tracy Rose

Tracy Rose of T. Rose Reiki and Tarot will guide you through approachable painting techniques in a warm and encouraging environment.

You do not need to arrive with everything figured out. Simply settle into the experience, follow Tracy’s guidance, and allow your own creativity to appear one brushstroke at a time.

All painting supplies are included, so your only responsibility is to arrive ready to create, connect, and enjoy the evening.

Live Piano by Ken Rose

As your painting begins to take shape, Ken Rose will fill the room with his beautiful live piano music.

The gentle movement of the music, the colors on the canvas, and the uplifting energy of people creating together will make this a truly special evening at The Mariner.

Tracy and Ken share more than a life together. They share a deep love for their community and a genuine desire to uplift the people around them.

For this event, they are generously donating their time and talents. Tracy is sharing her creativity, encouragement, and instruction. Ken is sharing the gift of music. Together, they are helping transform one evening into an act of love for Marine City.

Painting with a Purpose

All event proceeds benefit the Marine City Area Chamber of Commerce and its work to create and install the Marine City Love Locks Freighter From the vision and footwork of Laura Merchant.

The freighter-shaped public art installation will offer residents and visitors a meaningful place to attach locks celebrating love, friendship, family, anniversaries, milestones, treasured memories, and personal connections to Marine City.

Each lock will represent a story.

Each story will become part of the community.

And every person who joins us for this fundraiser will help move that vision closer to becoming a lasting part of Marine City.

Your ticket does more than reserve a chair. It places you inside a circle of people choosing to create something beautiful together.

Ticket and Refund Policy

Because this is a limited-capacity fundraiser and painting supplies are purchased in advance for each registered guest, all ticket sales are final and nonrefundable.

Tickets are transferable to another guest. Please notify Riverside Gypsy before the event when transferring a registration.

If the event is canceled by the organizer, ticket holders will be contacted directly and the ticket price will be refunded.

Do I need painting experience?

No previous painting experience is necessary. Tracy will guide guests through the techniques in a welcoming and encouraging setting.

Are painting supplies included?

Yes. All required painting supplies are included in the $40 ticket price.

Are snacks included?

Yes. Snacks will be provided during the event.

Where do the proceeds go?

All event proceeds benefit the Marine City Area Chamber of Commerce and the Marine City Love Locks Freighter project.
